Welcome, club presidents and treasurers! Thank you for visiting the finance section of the website. Here you will find the tools to effectively manage your clubs finances. There is a brief FAQ section below, as well as an overview of the ASWU endowment.

Below you will find a packet that includes all the information that was provided in the 2010 student organization orientation given by the Office of Student Activities (OSA) and the Associated Students of Willamette University (ASWU). We hope that this information will help you to run your clubs smoothly and effectively during the 2010-2011 academic year.

Inside this packet, you will find information regarding your club's various accounts, ways of accessing and managing them, the ASWU Finance Board, the budgeting process, and most importantly - how you can request and receive funding for your student organization. It is very important that you and your fellow club leaders familiarize yourself well with the information in the packet provided.

Once again, thank you for your club’s involvement on campus and with ASWU. If you have any questions at all about the information in this packet please do not hesitate to contact us, you can:

    STUDENT ORGANIZATION COLLABORATION (SOC) FUND

The Student Organization Collaboration (SOC) Fund is designed to support and encourage intergroup collaborative programming efforts. All student organizations stand to benefit from increased diversity in membership, initiative, and perspective. Projects must include two or more distinctly different campus organizations. Organizations may differ in such things as the make up of their membership, issues discussed, goals, purpose, or type of club (Academic, Multicultural, Athletic, etc) to name a few examples. Preference will be given to registered student organizations, but participation is not limited to such groups. All groups need to have a recognized advisor.  For more information, please visit the CDSJ website, http://www.willamette.edu/councils/cdsj/grants/socf/index.html

    CLASS COUNCILS

Class councils provide programs that benefit the members of their class in order to promote inity and ties to Willamette University. They seek to better the college experience of members of their class through both education and entertainment. Donation requests from Class Councils must pertain to large events that benefit a large portion of Willamette's population; administrative and club specific requests will not be considered and should seek alternative sources of funding.
